Dungeness Whit(ing) Out

Headed to Dungeness for my first ever session last weekend. I was meeting up with a few off the KSFF forum members for a session there. We met at about 18:30 and were set up by 19:30. On the first cast the chance of a blank had gone and I pulled in 3 whiting on the 3 hook flapper i was using.

I had Dunge black lug, king rag, mackerel, squid and common lug for bait but no matter what I put out I always ended up with at least one whiting per cast.

Dave managed to pull in a doggy but that was the only different species caught.

At the end of the session I had had 53 Whiting, Dave had 39, all under-sized for me although a few were close. Was a lot of fun.

We fished until about 02:40 and then packed up and headed home
