Flattie but not unhappy


I headed back to Bishopstone for an afterwork session. It was pretty windy down there which made reading the rod tip difficult. About 30 minutes after I started I spotted a twitch that didn’t look like it was caused by wind or wave. I waited for the next twitch and lifted the rod and wound in.

I was very happy to see another species to my collection, but the only question I had was which species was it…

Here is the catch:

I am off to the forums to find out what type of flatfish it is… An update is to come (See Post)
It was about 5 inches long and about 2-3ozs. It was returned returned to the water and sped away as soon as it hit the water.

Confirmed as a Flounder
